Privacy
What we collect, why we keep it, who helps us process it and how you can see or delete it. We follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
01Who we are
Middleman Collections is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email hello@middlemancollections.com.
02What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and the items you bought.
- Account details if you sign in: your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile photo.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and where you signed up.
- Reviews you submit: your name, rating, review text, the size you bought and your fit note.
- Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
03Why we use it
- To take payment, deliver your order and handle returns. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep tax and accounting records. This is a legal obligation.
- To send the newsletter, only if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
- To prevent fraud and misuse of promo codes. This is in our legitimate interests.
04Who processes it for us
- Stripe processes payments, including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna.
- Google Firebase handles account sign-in.
- Resend sends order confirmations and newsletters.
- Vercel hosts this website and stores our database.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision. We never sell your data.
05How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years from the end of the financial year they fall in, as HMRC requires. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
06Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. Email hello@middlemancollections.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
